Uncivilized: Captain Nemo and the Legend of Dwarka

“For the love of all that is sacred, woman, are you mad?!”
“I have been told so on several occasions.”

My new adventure novel, "Uncivilized: Captain Nemo and the Legend of Dwarka" will be live on Amazon next week!
I'd like to give a shout-out to my illustrator, Tuua Tulisalmi, for continuing a beautiful 150-something-year-old tradition of making Captain Nemo shout and point at nerds who show up on his submarine uninvited:

From the original illustrations by Alphonse de Neuville and Édouard Riou (1871), to the phenomenal video game Verne: the Shape of Fantasy (2023), to James Dormer's Nautilus TV series starring Shazad Latif (2024), our boy has always lost his cool when faced with people who don't take him as seriously as he takes himself.

 Here's the premise of "Uncivilized;"

After the publications of "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" and "The Mysterious Island," the world is now familiar with Captain Nemo's history — and the details of his demise.
Doctor Grace Evans, an English doctor living in colonial India, discovers that Captain Nemo is still alive and that the Nautilus, his infamous vessel of revenge, still lurks in the depths of the ocean.
Seizing an opportunity to fulfil her passion for scientific exploration, Grace blackmails Nemo into taking her aboard. She becomes inextricably entangled in the ongoing saga of the Nautilus crew as she joins Nemo on an expedition to the sunken city of Dwarka.
Little does she know this expedition is a part of a bigger plan to avenge Captain Nemo’s murdered family once and for all. As Grace and Nemo’s alliance is tested, their darkest secrets are brought to light, and their fates become intertwined.

I've poured months of research into this project, and I'm thrilled to be able to share it with you all. And yes, there will be a glossery and appendix at the end of the book for you nerds who want extra context regarding the historical setting. This is exciting for me because I had my origional appendix surgically removed four years ago, so it's nice to have another one.
This is very I've been blessed with so many wonderful friends who have helped and supported me along the way. Many thanks to you all!
