A New Steampunk Fantasy

My dear readers have inquired about a sequel to Uncivilized: Captain Nemo and the Legend of Dwarka.

Yes, I do intend to write a sequel! The past several months, however, I have been working on a fanatsy novel. It's been taking longer than Uncivilized. It's remix of classic Scandinavian folktales, and very loosely inspired by Henrik Ibsen's "Peer Gynt."

Here's a sneak peek at two of the main characters:

Meet The Mountain King, Dovre, and Crown Princess Awilda of Ylfing.

The story is set in the early 19th century on a volcanic island inhabited by the descendants of Vikings -- and trolls!

In the underground kingdom of The Huldrefjall, the Mountain Trolls live in a wonderous civilization powered by geothermal electricity. When a young human woman finds her way to their realm, she's in awe of their culture and technology.

Not everything is as it seems, however. When disaster strikes, she goes on a quest to find the origin of a centuries-old curse and save the troll kingdom she's become entwined with.
